Angela Day, Affordable founder and chief executive, has this week revealed the company’s plans for expansion, announcing the firm’s ‘Affordable Xtras’ division at the Travel Weekly Northern Ball in Manchester.
Speaking to Travel Weekly prior to the announcement she said Affordable had to “move with the times” by bringing an enhanced product offering to the trade.
Focusing the majority of their efforts on the holiday market the firm will sell various packages, including:
UK coach hire
Taxi transfers
Airport hotels
Parking and lounge passes
Executive transfers
Travel insurance
And much more
Aiming to dominate this section of the market Day is confident in her team’s ability to build out a network of new and exiting contacts in order to create a limitless business, casting their net wider than ever before.
Day said: “We have excellent product and very competitive rates. We have gone out to suppliers who are interested in working with us because of the relationships we have with lots of agents.”
Set to offer services at the quirkier end of the spectrum Affordable aims to be the one-stop-shop for all holidaymakers, being a competitive option for those looking for everything from accommodation in the UK to Harley Davidson rental in Dubai.
Wanting to work with as many travel agents as possible Affordable’s platform will be taking enquiries next month.
