Sky have revealed their latest plans to introduce a brand new Sky Movie rental service, Sky Store, which offers pay-per-view film hire services to all Sky Anytime+ customers in the UK.
The brand new movie rental facility will replace the Sky Box Office service which previously allowed customers to access a library of movies via their Sky box. The new movie rental service will launch with over a thousand film titles offering customers a wide choice from both the latest movie releases through to classic films. Prices for a single movie rental will start from just 99p.
Sky plan to offer their new Sky Store facility to all Sky HD customers regardless of their broadband provider by this Easter, which means that 5 million homes across the UK will have access to the new movie hire service.
As well as the pay-per-view movie titles, Sky Movie subscribers will also have access to an impressive library of over 600 movies through the providers Sky Anytime+ facility. Plus as an added bonus, customers will also be able to download movies for hire for use on mobile devices through Sky’s multi-platform service, Sky Go.
Sky plan to promote the launch of their new Sky Store movie rental service with the introduction of a strong marketing and advertising campaign, with the first TV adverts and billboard advertisements expected to pop up in the coming weeks.
