Tool hire company, Speedy Hire, has announced it will offer courses to suppliers working within the construction and building industry to help these companies meet their sustainable requirements. The tool rental provider says that the cost of undertaking the course will be offset by the savings the companies will make by putting into practice all they learn on the training.
Speedy Hire specialises in the provision of tools and construction equipment to those working in the building trade. The new venture of offering courses and training to construction companies will add another string to the hire firm’s bow, and also add another avenue for revenue, should the new scheme be successful.
The courses offered by Speedy Hire will equip suppliers with the knowledge and expertise to fulfil their sustainability requirements which will lead to reduction in CO2 emissions in their work. Courses will also cover health and safety practice and will aim to improve efficiency across the board.
The training programme has been designed to assist suppliers working with the tool hire firm to meet the requirements set out in Speedy Hire’s sustainability charter. The tool hire provider say they hope this collaborative approach to sustainability within the industry will help build lasting working relationships between themselves and the suppliers.
