A month after the latest compact Toyota Prius C went on sale, LA based car hire provider, MPG Car Rental, have added the new hybrid model to their fleet of hire cars.
Conveniently based for Los Angeles International Airport, MPG Car Rentals predict the latest model to join their range will be a popular choice for those visiting California. These fuel efficient and environmentally friendly motors are in high demand from rental customers and it’s often the case that the providers don’t have enough hybrid cars to meet the rental demand. The launch of the new Prius C by MPG will help to redress the balance in the California region somewhat.
Prior to the introduction of the Prius C to the hire fleet, MPG were only able to offer mid range and larger size hybrid car for rental. The Prius C will allow the car hire provider to offer a lower priced range of hybrid car rental which is likely to help attract a new market to the company.
The Prius C is a compact version of Toyota’s best selling hybrid and was first unveiled by the manufacturer at the Tokyo Auto Show last year. Since going on sale four weeks ago, the Prius C has proved popular with drivers, with strong sales figures being reported.
As an added bonus, those interested in buying a Prius C can hire the model from MPG for four days and have their rental fee refunded if they go on to buy the car. This attractive deal is likely to push demand for Prius C rental even higher for MPG.
