In recent months, the hire industry has seen a variety of high-profile acquisitions take place, and this week is no exception. Today, it has been announced that platform hire business, AA Access, , had made a major acquisition, taking over the reins at Scottish firm; Outreach Access. Signalling an exciting time of expansion for the Rossendale-based company; the news has been welcomed by industry leaders and customers alike.
One of the reasons for the acquisition was to develop and expand the company’s fleet; now seeing the business boast national coverage and enhance their customer numbers. With Outreach Access’ staff complementing what their business was doing down in Lancashire, this acquisition simply made financial sense.
But, what does this mean for the Falkirk company; will their employees be out of work?
Unlike many other acquisitions, AA Access are keeping all thirteen of Outreach Access’ employees on the payroll. This includes individuals from all areas of the business such as the Operations Manager, Sales Manager and their in-house Engineer.
Group CEO, Niel Bethell said:
“We set out with ambitious plans to grow our business through strategic acquisitions. Outreach Access is the ideal addition for the High Access group of companies. The highly complementary acquisition provides us with significantly increased geographic coverage, which will enhance our market-leading offering.
Eager to remain unique with regards to the way they approach business, Neil Bethell sings the praises of the brand’s ethos, believing this acquisition is just one step forward for their big growth plan.
“We stand apart from the rest of the industry because we directly employ our teams and own our machinery. This deal grows our fleet and capabilities, perfectly positioning us for further growth” he continues.
After buying an incredibly established firm, AA Access expect to see immediate growth across Scotland and the North East.
