Online vintage clothing retailer launches hire service

Online vintage clothing retailer, Vintage Deli, has just announced the launch of a brand new venture which will allow customer the chance to hire some of the exquisite pieces available at the Norfolk based business.

Business owner and vintage designer clothes enthusiast, Katy Coe, set up her online shop from her parent’s farm in rural Grimston, Norfolk. Starting out by selling her vintage finds via her website, Katy later opened a boutique in one of the barns at the farm which allowed customers the opportunity to browse the huge selection of one-off pieces available at the Vintage Deli.

From the feedback Katy was receiving from her customers, it was obvious that there was a definite demand for a hire service as many of her clients expressed an interest in renting some of the more expensive pieces. As is the case for a number of Vintage Deli shoppers, dresses and other items being bought from the vintage boutique were often for one off events and only likely to be worn once, so for that reason, Katy discovered there was call for a hire service of her vintage garments.

The Vintage Deli stocks a wide range of clothing and accessories dating back as far as the 20’s and spanning every decade up until the 80’s. The online shop now offers customers the chance to hire items at a cost of 20% of the value of the piece so the cost of hiring a vintage dress can be anything from £17 -£94. The hire period is for 3 days, on the fourth day the customer must ensure the garment is back at the Vintage Deli, plus there is a small cleaning charge of £5 per item.
