Of late, the news has been filled with negative stories surrounding car hire repairs, with many large, high-profile rental firms criticised for the prices they charge and the repair methods they use. Seeing many repair businesses having to prove their worth, upbeat stories are hard to come by. This is why we at Anythingforhire.com were happy to learn that windscreen repair firm, National Windscreens, had enjoyed a positive week.
Winning a large contract with Days Rental, the firm now has the contract to replace all damaged windscreens for the rental firm’s 5000-strong fleet.
Thrilled to be awarded this two-year deal, National Windscreens will now offer their services to Days Rental across its 11 UK hire locations. Officially named as a sole supplier, they will serve the rental firm’s windscreen repair, replacement and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration needs.
Andy Williams of Days Rental was pleased to appoint National Windscreens as a partner. He said:
“We’re pleased to have awarded the contract to National Windscreens, who have a proven track record in the fleet and private vehicle market.
“The investment they had made in their network of centres, technicians and the ability to provide ADAS calibration were all important factors to ensure we can keep our fleet on the road and provide our customers with the best possible service.”
Equally as happy following the signing of the deal was James Cook; business development manager at National Windscreens.
“Our national coverage through 108 fitting and calibration centers, combined with our team of more than 800 mobile glazing technicians, is a key factor in our ability to work with national fleet companies such as Days Rental” he said.
Whilst a great move forward for the repair business, Days Rental is just the latest contract win for the company, having recently formed partnerships with Lex Autolease, Zenith, Fleet Hire, Zurich and the likes.
