With our news team working from the lovely city of Cardiff we are understandably consumed by the local rental market, eager to promote local companies doing great things. This week we learn the news that tool hire firm HSS Hire are opening their largest ever distribution centre in Wales, hoping to introduce 65 new jobs over the course of the next three years.
Setting up shop in Treforest, just outside Cardiff’s city centre, HSS Hire’s plan to significantly expand services to businesses across South Wales this year, with over 30 of mentioned jobs being permanent positions.
The 49,000 sq. ft. facility will be located on the Treforest Industrial Estate just off the A470 north of Cardiff. In a prime location for their target market the set up will help with both drop in customers as well as the delivery branch of the business.
John Gill, CEO at HSS Hire Group Plc. said:
“We are continually evolving our network to ensure equipment availability and to drive operational efficiency. The Treforest customer distribution centre will make daily deliveries to ensure tools and equipment are readily available for local businesses. This investment is another big step in delivering the best service we can to our customer base in Wales, and we’re thrilled to be investing in its future.”
According to the firm facilities will include:
- 10,000-litre fuel store
- equipment wash
- truck-loading areas
- Reception
- Warehouse full of stock
- On-site technicians
- And much more
