Commercial vehicle sales and leasing giants, Ryder, have appointed former National Customer Operations Manager, Nick Allera, as their new Head of Area Sales. In his new role, Allera will lead the Ryder area sales management team, covering the UK and will report directly to Sales and Marketing Director; John Murray.

Allera brings a wealth of expertise to the role, boasting 27 years’ experience in commercial vehicle operations, contract management, customer care, and sales.

An exciting time of expansion for Ryder

The business’ latest hire marks Ryder’s current state of play, investing heavily in their team of late. Just last month, the company brought  Shaun Stephenson back on board. Appointing him as the company’s Director of Engineering, it appears the firm are eager to continue on their path of diversity.

Nick Allera outlines his objectives

Upon his promotion, Allera shared his hopes for the new role. Pressing heavily on the importance of customer care and sourcing new business contacts, his plans are big to say the least.

“I’m very excited to be taking up this new position at Ryder. My focus will be on ensuring we continue to retain and build business with our current customers by providing the best possible support and service to them. At the same time, I will be focusing on leveraging the strengths of the Ryder offer to build further new business across our UK operations.”

Seeming to have everything covered, he continued:

“As a leading provider of commercial vehicle and trailer rental, leasing, and maintenance solutions, Ryder has tremendous strength in depth and expertise. At the same time, Ryder’s extensive UK network allows us to provide great service and support at a local level. We know that vehicle uptime, health and safety, efficiency, flexibility, compliance, and peak rental coverage are all key priorities for customers, and I look forward to ensuring our existing, and new, customers benefit from Ryder’s great strengths in these areas.”

A final word from Ryder’s Sales and Marketing Director

John Murray, the company’s Sales and Marketing Director, was just as thrilled to welcome Allera to the growing team. Talking on his appointment, he said:

“I’m delighted to promote Nick to this key position leading our Area Sales activities. Our customers, and our sales staff, will benefit tremendously from Nick’s many years of experience in commercial vehicle operations and sales. In his new role, I’m confident that Nick will play a key role supporting our customers with the innovative solutions and back-up that they need to succeed in their industries.”
