The car hire firm specialising in the hire of environmentally friendly vehicles, Green Motion, has announced the grand opening of its first rental outlet in Scotland, at Edinburgh International Airport.
The news of the new hire centre opening comes just weeks after the franchise was acquired by husband and wife business team, James and Lynn Anderson. The duo have wasted no time in setting the wheels in motion for their new business venture, announcing the opening of the car hire branch in Edinburgh Airport at the earliest opportunity. The business team say the Edinburgh rental outlet will help the car hire franchise provide national coverage.
Green Motion car hire offers affordable low CO2 emission vehicles for hire including the Blue Motion Volkswagen Polo and the Fiat 500 Twin Air, both of which are renowned for their low emissions. Larger 8-seater vehicles and automatic rental cars are available in Hyundai models.
The new car hire centre at Edinburgh International airport is situated 2 minutes from the terminal with a free shuttle bus service being provided to ferry customers from the airport to the hire cars at the Secure Airparks. The shuttles buses run regularly at 5-10 minute intervals 24 hours a day.
Green Motion already offers low CO2 emission car hire services in various locations across the UK including Gatwick and Heathrow Airport, also Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Exeter, Leeds and Southampton Airports as well as town and city centre areas in London, Coventry and Oxford and Leicester amongst others.
