A skip hire company from Lincolnshire has offered a £5,000 reward in return for information which leads them to the thieves who have stolen thousands of pounds worth of property from their yard over two separate occasions.
A Riddle Skip Hire are offering £5,000 to anyone who comes forward with information which will lead the police to identify and prosecute the thieves who have targeted the firm twice, most recently breaking into the skip hire company’s yard over the August bank holiday weekend.
The latest attack on the skip rental firm resulted in 2 tonnes of copper being stolen from the yard at Horncastle in Lincolnshire, along with £35,000 worth of scrap metal. A Riddle Skip Hire stepped up their security at their depot following an earlier break in, however the thieves managed to cut through the newly installed razor wire fence which the rental company had thought would stop robbers gaining entry.
The two burglaries at the skip hire yard cost the company dear with thieves making off with £70,000 worth of property altogether. The company owner says they’ve had more problems with thieves in the last 12 months than in the whole 45-year history of the firm.
A Riddle Skip Hire are urging anyone with information regarding the burglary which happened between August 29th and 30th to contact the police. The reward of £5,000 is offered to anyone with Information which leads to the criminals and their prosecution.
