John \u201cButch\u201d Nash was described as a legend in the town of Portland in Dorset where he lived and his company was based. It was only fitting, therefore, for the 64-year-old to take a final tour of the town he loved so much before being finally laid to rest.<\/p>\n

Butch, as he was known to many, died following a battle with cancer. One of his last requests was for one of his skip hire<\/a><\/a> lorries to transport him as he made his way through Portland for the very last time. The skip hire<\/a> lorry was decked out with flower wreaths and the banner \u201cJohn \u2018Butch\u2019 Nash \u2013 off for a doss- 1947-2011\u201d hung over the back of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The skip hire<\/a> company founder was a well-known figure in the town having previously acted as a councilor, and he even has a stand named after him at the local football club.<\/p>\n

Portland Stone Ltd was founded by Mr. Nash in 1997, specializing in waste management, stones supplies as well as skip hire<\/a> and machinery rental services. His son, 25-year-old Danny Nash, will now take over the running of the business.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
