HSS Tool Hire has enhanced its employee benefits with the introduction of health and well being packages, and also life insurance and increased benefits for maternity and paternity conditions for its 2,200 employees in the UK and Ireland.
The leading tool rental provider decided to review its previous employees’ benefits after the company experienced a boost to its business over the course of the last year, and so the tool hire company wanted to pass something onto their workforce by investing in their employees with increased benefits.
The new measures introduced by HSS Tool Hire include a life insurance package worth 3 times the employee’s salary, plus an employee funded healthcare scheme which offers £35 towards dental care, £100 towards health screening, £100 towards a specialist consultant appointment, and £70 towards optical care.
HSS Tool Hire has also created an overhaul of its maternity and paternity leave conditions for its workers. Formerly maternity leave was as per the statutory conditions, now however maternity leave provides the employee with 90% of their wage for the first 12 weeks, while paternity leave has increased from two days to one week on full pay.
Since HSS Tool Hire introduced its online flexible benefits scheme and childcare vouchers incentive in April, it’s reported a 50% take-up of its package which indicates that the new benefits have been welcomed by the staff.
The official word from HSS Tool Hire is that the new employee wellbeing packages are part of a larger review into staff benefits.
