Enterprise Rent-a-Car, one of the largest car rental businesses in the world, has now announced plans to enter new markets, putting a great focus on Finland. Having been building links with the country for many years, Enterprise Holdings has now officially appointed a Franchisee for Finland; the LänsiAuto Group.

While this is not the first time Enterprise Rent-a-Car has expanded into a new country, the agreement between the brands is rather unique. A spokesperson for the brand says the agreement will result in all of Enterprise Holdings’ brands being promoted across the country. This includes Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car. Where many car brands tend to enter new markets through airports alone, Enterprise Holdings will be available to various different customers, including corporate and leisure.

A joining of two great brands

Pushing this deal forward is the LänsiAuto Group, making use of its already strong presence in the county. Boasting 550 employees and 2,500 vehicles, the business has come on leaps and bounds over the last three years, doubling their operation in Finland. With this partnership, the business can make use of Enterprise Holding’s global business knowledge, advanced technology and general market experience, expected to further increase their presence and reputation across Finland.

A well-timed deal for Enterprise Rent-a-Car

This deal has come at a great time for Finland, receiving more and more calls for car hire services from tourists. This is arguably due to changes in legislation, with people with Chinese driving licenses now permitted to legally drive in Finland.

The business will also be setting up shop at Helsinki Airport towards the end of the year, maximising on the influx of tourists requiring cars.

With Finland, Enterprise Holdings now operates in over 90 countries; 40 of which are in EMEA.
