Chocolate fountains can be supplied with a choice of chocolate products, including milk, dark and white flavours. Usually, your hire provider will have a preferred brand, but feel free to talk to them if you have any individual preferences.
In short, anything that isn’t too crumbly can be dipped in a chocolate fountain. Typically, hire providers supply marshmallows, sweets and desserts to serve as dippers, as well as a selection of fresh fruit. Got a favourite treat that’s not covered? Talk to your provider to check if it is suitable for your chocolate fountain.
Surprisingly, chocolate fountains do not require too much space to set up and operate - making them a great choice for a wide variety of events. As a general rule, all you need is a level space on which to site the fountain. However, we do not recommend placing your fountain outdoors, as elements such as wind and rain can interfere with its operation.
Most hire providers will supply everything that is required to set up and operate the fountain. In this case, all you will need to do is ensure that there is a power outlet and an appropriate location available. However, it’s worth checking that all this is covered in your hire price, and you may want to consider purchasing additional chocolate or dippers if you are expecting a lot of guests.
Yes, chocolate fountains are very safe. However, they are still considered commercial catering equipment, and elements of them can grow extremely hot. For this reason, we recommend that the fountain is supervised at all times - particularly around small children (and drunk adults!)
